Villaret Interactive Park

An artistic and playful park in the heart of nature

The Vallon du Villaret is a leisure park unlike any other. Located in Lozère, in the heart of the woods, it offers a 2 km trail through nature, punctuated by more than 100 artistic surprises. Here, there are no rides or mascots. The visitor becomes an active participant in their discovery, between art, play, and imagination.

The art of dreaming differently

The Vallon du Villaret began with a somewhat audacious dream. Guillaume Sonnet, who lived in the hamlet of Villaret, envisioned a park that went against the grain. A place without industrial attractions, but rich in meaning, creativity, and freedom.

Thus, after eight years of planning, the park opened its doors in 1993. It was an immediate success. In 2019, the Vallon welcomed its millionth visitor. Today, the adventure continues under the direction of Hugo Sonnet, the founder’s son. In 2023, the park celebrated its 30th anniversary, still driven by the same spirit.

Artistic surprises in the heart of nature

Throughout the walk, over 100 art installations punctuate the experience. Sculptures, games, poetic or interactive displays: each creation invites you to observe, touch, play, and reflect.

This is why the Vallon du Villaret is an intergenerational park, enjoyed by children and adults alike. Some visitors even come… without children. Depending on your level of interest, allow between 3 and 5 hours to fully enjoy the experience, whether with family or friends.
