exploring the village

  • The Church of Saint-Hilaire: This Romanesque church, formerly the seat of a priory of La Chaise-Dieu, houses a magnificently restored chancel. The apse is illuminated by three fan-shaped windows. Beneath the cornice, sculpted corbels decorate the building. These sculptures, representing animals and human figures, are typical of Romanesque art and add a touch of decorative richness.

The Bells: The church has two bells, one of which is particularly remarkable. It is very old and listed as a historical monument, a true testament to the village’s history.
