The Moulinet Lake

From Aumont-Aubrac, follow the signs for Marvejols, then take the A75 motorway, exit 37 "Le Buisson", and the D809 towards Saint-Sauveur-de-Peyre. The leisure park offers a playground, barbecues, several volleyball and pétanque courts, restrooms, and a restaurant. It's a friendly place where the whole family can relax and fully enjoy outdoor activities.

The Hole del Baou

The Hole del Baou is accessible on foot from the village of Tiracols via a 6 km loop hike or by a 1.5 km trail from the village of Lestival. This isolated and unspoiled natural site is only very rarely accessible by vehicle, guaranteeing a complete immersion in nature. It offers an authentic discovery of the landscapes and biodiversity of the Aubrac region of Lozère.

The Mallet Circus

To fish in the Aubrac region of Lozère, you must join an Approved Fishing and Aquatic Environment Protection Association (AAPPMA) and pay the membership fee and the aquatic environment charge for the current year.      Looking to share a fun family moment? The Aubrac ponds offer a safe environment to discover the joys of fishing. Even the youngest and beginners can enjoy it. These sites are regularly stocked with rainbow trout. Some fish can weigh over 2 kg, offering varied and exciting outings for everyone. The Aubrac Lozérien Tourist Office also offers crayfish fishing trips, suitable for both children and adults. These outings provide a fun and educational experience in the heart of nature. Between relaxation, discovery, and shared moments, family fishing on the Aubrac plateau becomes an unforgettable memory.

Crayfish fishing trips

Alexandre Burtin - Un rêve de Balbu offers crayfish fishing trips for the whole family every Friday in July and August. Don't forget your bucket and high boots. Information and registration at the Aubrac Lozérien Tourist Office.

No-kill trails in Aubrac Lozère

Sustainable and respectful fishing

No-kill fishing areas, developed over several years by local fishing associations (AAPPMA), offer numerous advantages for preserving fish populations. By practicing catch-and-release fishing, these areas allow fish to reproduce and repopulate rivers, whose populations can be weakened by warming waters, pollution, or heavy harvesting. In the Aubrac region of Lozère, several areas are specially designed for different fishing techniques: Bait and Fly Fishing Areas Ru de Nasbinals – Village crossing: 600m, reserved for anglers aged 16 to 65.
